Ashoka Ranwala Appointed Speaker of the 10th Parliament

Ashoka Ranwala has been appointed as the Speaker of the 10th Parliament.

His name was proposed by Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya MP and seconded by Minister Vijitha Herath MP.

Accordingly, he has now taken the oath of office before the Secretary-General of Parliament.

Meanwhile, MP Mohamed Rizvi Sally has been appointed as the Deputy Speaker.
