A discussion between the International Monetary Fund and the Association of Professional Unions (PTUA) was held yesterday (22) at the Colombo Shangri-La Hotel.
IMF Senior Representative Mr. Peter Brewer and his team engaged with PTUA representatives including Mr.Anupa Nandula (CBEU), Dr. Kasun Gamage (GMOA), Dr. Charudatta Ilangasinghe (FUTA), prof. Indika Karunathilaka (FMTU) and others.
The main focus of this discussion is APIT tax. Union representatives have submitted their views and suggestions for APIT amendments.
