Web Designer (WordPress)

Job Description

This is a remote position.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement new features and functionalities for WordPress websites.
Ensure the technical feasibility and smooth integration of UI/UX designs.
Optimize websites for maximum speed and scalability.
Maintain, update, and troubleshoot websites as needed.
Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented.
Ensure website function and stability across devices i.e., desktop, mobile, tablet.
Work with WordPress builders such as Elementor and WP Bakery to craft visually appealing layouts.
Conduct website performance tests and provide internal support and external customer service throughout the build and launch process of the website.
Requirements
Essential Skills, Knowledge & Expertise:

Bachelor’s degree in web design, computer science, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Proven experience as a Web Designer with a strong portfolio of projects in WordPress.
Proficient in WordPress, including custom theme development and various builders like Elementor and WP Bakery.
Strong understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
Basic knowledge of PHP related to WordPress theme and plugin modifications.
Familiarity with the principles of SEO and the ability to implement them in WordPress.
Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
Up-to-date with the latest Web trends, techniques, and technologies.
